This showcase of arts, culture, music, fun events, food and drink based at various sites in Bathurst promises to be a feast for locals and visitors, young and old.
Set in the heart of Pineapple country, this area is home to the largest pineapple farming producer in the word.
This festival was started over a decade ago to the bring tourists to the village during the slow winter months and showcase the many attractions in and around Bathurst.
Only a 20minute drive from Port Alfred, 30 minutes from Makanda (GHT) and Kenton, 40 minutes from Bushman’s, under 2 hours from East London and Gqeberha.

Come along and take part in some unique competitions like pineapple throwing, bikes, old tractors and skateboarders in the main street of Bathurst.
Meet the Alpacas – donations to SPCA. Climb the biggest pineapple building in the world at 16.7 m – recorded in the Guiness book of records. Watch the Pigeon Race and place bets for R20 per bet.
For the horsey folks pop into the Showgrounds, where the Eastern Cape Showing Championship will be taking place with Eastern Cape Riders competing for a place in the SA National champs in September.
The village green will be home to a range of vendors selling a vast array of products including clothes, food, arts and crafts, goodies for pets, jewellery and leatherwear made locally or “imported”.
A variety of Food Trucks will cater to all tastes, sweet and savoury.
Throughout the village, all in fairly close proximity, there are a number of eateries as well as art and craft shops, an agricultural museum, secondhand shops, bookstores and licenced pubs as well as a small theatre.
Live shows at the Little Theatre will take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
