A body of an unknown man was found in the North End Lake yesterday, March 31.
Commenting on the incident, Police spokesperson, Captain Andre Beetge, said that at about 18:10, SAPS Mount Road was notified that a human body was seen floating in the lake.
Beetge said the body was then retrieved by divers.
“An inquest case was opened and is being investigated by SAPS Mount Road. An autopsy will be conducted in due course to determine the cause of death,” he added.
