IT’S that time of year that companies have to come up with fresh ideas to spoil their staff with a year-end party that promises to be talked about for years to come – for all the right reasons.
Port Elizabeth Express and Die Burger have joined forces with popular local comedian Gino Fabbri and Centrestage, to put on lunchtime year-end functions for those with a big appetite for fun and delicious food, but a small budget.
The Italian Club will play host to the office party performances of Fabbri’s brand-new solo comedy show, Gino Fabbri needs Therapy over lunchtimes on Thursday, 28 and Friday, 29 November.
It will be no surprise to anyone who has ever witnessed the unhinged antics of lovable comedian Fabbri to discover that he “needs therapy”.
This is the title of Fabbri’s latest solo music comedy show, which introduces new characters on the verge of a breakdown and sees old favourites unburdening their souls in the funniest way.
Fabbri takes a light-hearted look all the things which drive us crazy about people and the world around us.
A master of musical mirth, he interacts with his audience and peppers them with hilarious one-liners inspired by the endless well of unfortunate stupidity and irritations which we encounter daily in our lives.
Apart from Fabbri’s antics, guests will also be able to feast on delicious meals and desserts prepared by the Italian Club.
On Thursday’s menu is chicken schnitzel with a cheese sauce and chips, rounded off by lemon cheese cake and ice-cream.
A gourmet beef burger and chips, with chocolate mousse and ice cream for dessert, will be served at the Friday lunch.
The events will run from 12 noon to 3pm but guests are welcome to stay on for a while afterwards to socialise with their colleagues.
The cost is R300 per person. Small groups can also be accommodated, but it is advised to book early as space is limited.
Tables or tickets can be booked with Helen at Westway Tickets at 041 369 5422 or 082 487 3118 or online at www.westway.co.za.
