The Eastern Cape Provincial Government has said in a statement that Eastern Cape Premier, Lubabalo Oscar Mabuyane, is currently on leave.
In his absence, Finance MEC Mlungisi Mvoko, has been officially sworn in as the Acting Premier of the Eastern Cape.
According to the statement issued by the provincial communication services, Premier Mabuyane will be taking some time off to attend family commitments from the 20th of June to the 23rd of July.
“The Provincial Government assures the people of the province of continued leadership and stability during this period,” the statement read.
