The U/19A rugby team of Otto du Plessis celebrated their captain Jeandré Swanepoel’s milestone with a fine victory on Saturday in Gqeberha.

Swanepoel played his 50th match for Otto’s first XV and he inspired his team to a solid 24-7 victory against Alexander Road.

The Kariega side of Die Brandwag travelled to Humansdorp and was involved in a thrilling contest with Nico Malan. It was anybody’s game right up to the final whistle but Die Brandwag can be very proud of the 19-12 victory.

Another Kariega side was also involved in a nail-biter at home. Bergsig got the better of Marlow Landbou, winning 17-14.
