Main Purpose of Job
EP Media has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced senior local journalist. The successful candidate will be enlisted to write for PE Express and UD Express titles’ print editions and digital platforms. The successful candidate will work closely with the regional editor to grow and develop content for the defined target audiences.
Key responsibilities:
• Contribute high-level long-form content for print in line with the editorial strategies.
• Create digital content of a high standard in line with the business needs, including web articles, social media content, video, and podcasts.
• All produced content must be in line with our publications’ style guide and adhere to the editorial structures as defined by the editors.
• Contribute to EP Media social media platforms and digital platforms
• Assist in managing content management systems

• Strong writing skills with attention to detail to ensure clean and correct copy.
• Skillset to create multimedia content of a high standard.
• Ability to work under pressure.

• Valid Code 08 driver’s licence.
Qualifications and experience
• A degree or diploma in journalism or media studies.
• Demonstrate the ability to deliver on the expectations.
• A minimum of six years’ experience in the relevant industry.
• Strong digital skills.
• A strong understanding of multimedia.
• Understanding of media laws and the South African Press Code.
