Mashed potatoes are a classic, creamy side dish made by mashing boiled potatoes and mixing them with butter, milk or cream, and seasonings. - Mash the Potatoes
In a large bowl, mash the boiled potatoes until smooth and lump-free.
- Mix in the Goodness
Add melted butter, heavy cream, parmesan, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well combined.
- Add the Egg Yolk
Mix in the egg yolk to help the potatoes hold their shape when baked.
- Pipe the Swirls
Transfer the mashed potatoes to a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Pipe swirls onto a lined baking sheet.
- Bake Until Golden
Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F) and bake for 15 minutes or until lightly golden on the edges.
- Garnish and Serve
