This Women’s Month, combine style with purpose by attending the Voice of Courage Fashion Show to support victims of gender-based violence at Yokhuselo Haven. The event will take place on Friday, August 8, at 18:00 at the Boardwalk Expo Centre.
Now in its second year, this charitable event is a partnership between the Boardwalk and Camelot Spa.
The evening promises an exciting blend of fashion, beauty, and entertainment as local designers, hairstylists and make-up artists collaborate to showcase the latest trends. Models will walk the runway sporting innovative designs and fresh looks, while live performances from Fagrie Isaacs and Jade Engelbrecht will add to the vibrant atmosphere. Guests can also enjoy delectable finger snacks, courtesy of Boardwalk.
Tickets are priced at R300 per person and can be purchased online via www.suninternational/boardwalks/events or Webtickets. More than just a ticket to the event, your contribution will go directly towards aiding vulnerable women and children housed at Yokhuselo Haven.
Since its establishment in 1988, Yokhuselo Haven has provided a lifeline to victims of domestic violence, covering monthly expenses of R35,000 to offer necessities such as food, clothing, and shelter. The Haven also provides essential services, including trauma counselling, legal aid and health assistance. During the event, Antoinette Hamman of Yokhuselo Haven will offer insights into the organisation’s efforts, from equipping residents through self-defence and first-aid training to empowering them for financial independence.
Attendees will also hear from speakers sharing personal journeys of survival and courage.
This meaningful event is a chance to support a vital cause while celebrating the resilience of GBV survivors in the community. Raise your voice and embrace courage together.
