The name of the child that was found murdered yesterday, July 24, was identified as Taslin Lucas (eight) from Marikana informal settlement in Walmer location.
Walmer police detectives urgently seek the community’s assistance in tracing the suspect/s allegedly involved in the murder of the girl whose body was found yesterday, July 24, in a vandalised house in Airport Valley, Walmer.
According to police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg, it is alleged that at approximately 17:00, SAPS Walmer responded to a complaint and found the body. She had visible burn wounds on her body.
“According to information, she was last seen on Friday, July 21. She was never reported missing,” said Janse van Rensburg.
The motive for the murder is unknown and the investigation is ongoing.
