A resident from Port Elizabeth has made it his mission to entertain people and make them laugh, to help lift their mood due to lockdown blues.
When Walmer Heights resident Johann Bezuidenhout, a.k.a. JanneMaraks, is not stuck at home during lockdown, he works as a business consultant for a telecommunications company in Port Elizabeth.
“I filmed two videos during lockdown called Lockdown Chronicles. I did it to make people smile during this difficult time. It’s in times like these that we South Africans easily laugh at ourselves – we have an excellent sense of humour,” he said.
He started out with just one video, Lockdown Chronicles, but had such a positive response to this video that he decided to make another one – Lockdown Chronicles Part 2.
He has created a Facebook pages for his videos and he has added a few more posts in the meantime. He has promised to keep people entertained during the rest of the lockdown period with more funny videos.
