In the early hours of Sunday, March 16, three security guards at Livingstone Hospital in Korsten were robbed at gunpoint at the gate guardhouse.
The incident, according to SAPS Captain Andre Beetge, occurred at around 00:35 when three masked and armed suspects approached the guards.
The assailants demanded the guards’ mobile phones before fleeing the scene on foot with a total of three phones. SAPS Gelvandale has opened a case of armed robbery and is actively investigating the incident.
