A 21-year-old man was shot dead by two unknown men in Booysens Park, yesterday, May 8.
Police spokesperson Captain Andre Beetge said the shooting incident happened on Kiewiet Street, Pollar Park.
Beetge reported: “At about 14:50 SAPS Bethelsdorp was alerted to a shooting incident, where on arrival they were informed that the victim was taken to hospital.”
Beetge said that it was alleged that two unknown males called the victim to come talk to them outside.
“The 21-year-old male victim then went to the males and started to talk to them. Moments later they shot him several times and fled the scene afterwards.
“He was then rushed to Livingstone Hospital (in a private vehicle) where he was pronounced deceased on arrival.”
A murder case was opened and is being investigated by SAPS Bethelsdorp.
