SAPS Kwadwesi detectives are seeking the community’s assistance after a shooting incident was reported yesterday, April 22, that led to the fatal shooting of a 40-year-old man.
It is alleged that at approximately 12:00, the deceased Peter Baatjies was traveling on the R75 in the direction of Kwadwesi.
SAPS spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, said, “While travelling on the R75, an vehicle drove next to him and fired multiple shot at him. At the intersection of the R75 and Chelsea Road the driver collided with a stationary truck. He died on the scene.”
The motive and the suspects are unknown, the investigation is ongoing.
