SAPS Kabega Park officer arrested for corruption

A 48-year-old female officer from SAPS Kabega Park was arrested for fraud and money laundering by the Eastern Cape Murder-for-Money Task Team on May 7.

The South African Police Service (SAPS) Eastern Cape Murder-for-Money Task Team has arrested a 48-year-old female police officer stationed at SAPS Kabega Park.

According to SAPS spokesperson Brigadier Nobuntu Gantana, the arrest took place today, May 7, at approximately 09:00 at the Kabega Park Police Station.

Gantana alleged, “The member faces charges of fraud and money laundering linked to a case registered at SAPS Mount Road. The investigation remains ongoing, and no further details can be disclosed at this stage.”

He added, “The member will appear at the Gqeberha Magistrate’s Court on May 8.”
