SAPS Mount Road detectives are seeking the community’s assistance in tracing Dorothy Prentice (41), who was last seen on Sunday, June 9.

According to police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, it is alleged that at approximately 03:00, Prentice was watching television with a friend where after they went to their own bedrooms to sleep.

She said that later on Sunday morning, June 9, at approximately 10:15, her friend who had access to her room went looking for her, but she was not in the room and her bed was made up. 

“The friend did not worry because she had plans for Sunday,” she added.

Janse Van Rensburg further added that on Tuesday, June 11, her employer started making enquiries because she did not report at her workplace. 

“On Saturday, June 15, she was reported missing at SAPS Mount Road, after they made inquiries with family and friends, they also searched the surrounding areas and places she frequently visited, but they were unable to trace her,” she concluded.
