The Pay It Forward Community Foundation (PIFCF) will host a Self-Love/Self-Care campaign from 1 to 5 September 2025, aimed at girls in Grades 6 to 12. Over the course of the week, the foundation will visit schools in Kariega, Despatch, and Gqeberha, reaching more than 1,000 young girls.

During these visits, sisters Vasti Burger and Elanie Janse van Vuuren – daughters of renowned preacher and writer Dr Isak Burger – will speak to the girls about essential topics such as personal hygiene, self-respect, and self-worth.

“There are so many daughters growing up in fatherless homes, and from a young age, they seek love in the wrong places. Therefore, we want to teach them about self-respect and the importance of respecting their bodies,” explained Sonja Du Preez, the visionary behind the foundation. “We want to help restore their self-respect, self-worth, and identity.”

PIFCF is calling on the community to support this meaningful campaign by donating the following essential hygiene products: toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, and female sanitary products. These items will be distributed during the school visits.

If you would like to contribute, please contact Sonja Du Preez on 064 537 4228. Your support can help create a lasting impact in the lives of these young girls.
