It has been four days since the small community of Oyster Bay in the Eastern Cape was rocked by the shocking news that the bruised body of a Gqeberha woman, Vanessa Van Rensburg (36), was found at her boyfriend’s holiday home on April 20, and still no arrests have been made.
As previously reported, Van Rensburg was declared dead on the scene by EMS after police in St Francis Bay responded to a complaint at the holiday home in Oyster Bay.
According to police spokesperson Captain Marius McCarthy, as of April 24, no arrests have been made.
He confirmed that the police have opened a murder case and that the investigation remains ongoing.
