Four new Martians are set to touch down on earth, bringing with them the tastiest limited edition Cadbury slabs, four new collectable Martian figurines PLUS exciting augmented reality experiences to enjoy.
The Martians first landed on earth in 2017 after they discovered the Joy of Cadbury Dairy Milk for the first time. After their first mission to earth, to find more Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate and to share this joy with South Africans, they returned to Mars. It is rumoured that they took a container filled with Cadbury chocolate with them… but of course it was all finished way too soon!
After a while, they couldn’t shake the memory of that joyful taste and, driven by an indescribable craving, they went on another expedition to see if more chocolate could be found.
To their surprise, the four new Martians, Cosmo, Cupido, Buzz and Luna came across the most exciting Cadbury slabs inspired by four of South Africa’ favourite chocolate bars. These chocolates were unlike anything they had tasted before, bringing them joy of a new kind.
The first new chocolate was discovered by the colourful Cosmo, who found a Cadbury Dairy Milk Astro’s slab, popping with galactic colour and fun.
The affectionate Cupido lost her heart to a Cadbury Caramilk P.S. slab with crispy rice flakes and covered in white caramilk confection.
Buzz, the loud, bold and energetic Martian, found his joy in the Cadbury Dairy Milk Crunchie slab with honeycomb pieces. The final discovery was by the adventurous Luna, who can’t get enough of the chewylicious Cadbury Dairy Milk 5Star slab.
With these limited edition flavours and the chance to collect four new Martian figurines there won’t be a dull moment this winter and South Africans are invited to share in the Joy.
How to get your Martian figurines
To get their hands on these cute Martians, consumers will need to purchase any of the participating Cadbury slabs from 1 June to 31 August 2018 at retail stores countrywide.
Choose from 80gm or 150gm Cadbury Dairy Milk slabs with on-pack promotional visuals OR any of the four new limited edition 150gm Cadbury slabs. Find a promotional sticker inside each pack. Then, collect four stickers and stick them on the promotional pamphlet found on the branded displays in participating stores. Finally, redeem a Martian figurine at any participating petrol station store using your completed pamphlet.

The Martians come to life!
What’s more, from 15 June the new Martians will come to life on mobile phones through an exciting augmented reality (AR) experience. Simply grab one, two or even all four of the new slabs, download the free app, scan the wrapper and be amazed as the Martians come to life, showing off their moves and even interacting with each other.
