After eight years in custody, Netwerk24 reported that Pastor Timothy Omotoso and his co-accused Zukiswa Sitho and Lusanda Sulani were found not guilty on all charges at the Gqeberha High Court on Wednesday, April 2.

The Judge said the state did not prove its case beyond a reasonable doubt.

Eastern Cape National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) regional spokesperson, Luxolo Tyali, reported on the case. Omotoso and his co-accused faced over 32 charges. These were related to sexual offences and human trafficking.

Omotoso is a Nigerian televangelist and the senior pastor of Jesus Dominion International, based in Durban, South Africa.

This is a developing story.
