Heartfelt tributes have flooded social media platforms as the news of Van Rensburg’s, untimely passing sent ripples through her community of friends and family.
Van Rensburg was found dead at her 58-year-old boyfriend’s holiday home in Oyster Bay on April 20.
As previously reported, police in St Francis Bay responded to a complaint on April 20 at about 01:45 in Oyster Bay and upon arrival at the scene found 36-year-old Van Rensburg’s body lying on the floor.
According to police spokesperson Captain Marius McCarthy, she had bruises on her body and was declared dead on the scene by EMS.
Johan Van Rensburg, a family member, described Van Rensburg as a cherished “daughter, sister, mother, and friend” on his Facebook page.
“Her radiant smile and unwavering positivity touched countless lives,” he said.
“Her light will continue to shine in our hearts forever.”
Johan further said that details regarding funeral arrangements would be shared soon.
On April 23, McCarthy said that no arrests were made yet and that the investigation remains ongoing.
