Two Eastern Province backline players, Lucritia Magau and Erin Nelson, have been included in the South African Schools A squad.
The SA Schools squad and the SA Schools A team will do battle on Thursday in Middelburg, Mpumalanga.
Kick-off is at 15:00.
These two teams were named at the conclusion of the U18 Craven Week in Middelburg on Saturday.
Magau and Nelson, both from Graeme College in Makhanda, caught the eye of the national selectors with solid performances in all three of EP’s matches at the Craven Week.
Although Magau played on the left wing for EP, he was picked as the right wing for the SA Schools A squad.
He should have no problem adapting on the other side of the field. Magau was the standout player for EP at the Craven Week.
Magau was always a factor on attack and did not shy away from his defensive tasks.
EP won one of their three matches in Middelburg. The Sharks beat EP 41-10 in the opener but EP came back strongly in their second match to beat Border 30-12 in an entertaining East Cape Derby.
In their final match on Saturday EP started like a house on fire against the Blue Bulls.
They quickly led 17-0 but then made plenty of mistakes to give the initiative to the Bulls. The Bulls won 76-24 in the end.
