On 7 May supporters across South Africa come together in their
slippers to raise awareness and celebrate Slipper Day 2021.
The highly anticipated event was Reach for a Dream’s 10th annual Slipper Day.
The organisation said in a statement that it was their best ever Slipper
Day.
“Every donation, social selfie and sticker purchased helped to raise R6.2 Million for
our beautiful children. We are deeply thankful to our retail
partners Dischem Pharmacies, Wimpy and Pick n Pay; every single
individual, company and sponsor for enabling Reach for a Dream to make more
dreams come true for these children.
“Our dreamers are at the heart of what we do and this Slipper Day 2021
truly echoed your heart for
each and every child fighting a life-threatening illness and proved that
together, we truly can inspire hope, strength and courage for children in
need across South Africa.”
