Young Madrid FC set sights on league title

AS the league race heats up, Young Madrid FC earned a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Young Romans FC during their Motherwell Football Association (MOFA) Premier League clash at Motherwell NU 2 Stadium on Sunday.

As things stand, Madrid is chasing Young Ideas FC and Valencia FC for the league’s top spot. Valencia FC played to a 2-2 draw against Young Ideas FC at Motherwell NU 2 Stadium on Sunday. Black Vultures FC secured a late 3-0 victory over Royal Bucks FC. Lion City FC shared a 2-2 draw with Eleven Stars FC.

Pirates take on Stars in preseason tournament

ZWIDE Pirates FC locked horns with Shining Stars FC during the Zwide Football Association (ZWIFA) Mwalimu Youth Development Foundation Preseason Tournament finals on Sunday.

The road to the finals for Pirates started with a hard-fought 4-2 victory on penalties over NUBS, in the quarterfinals at Zwide Stadium. On Sunday, Pirates surprised Strikers United with a 3-0 defeat in their semi-final.

Stars struggled to advance to the semi-finals after working to overcome the competition specialists Amadamara 1-0 during their quarterfinals at Zwide Stadium. Stars defeated the Soweto-On-Sea lads 3-1 in a one-sided semi-final game.

Young Romans Grounds will be kept abuzz as the loyal supporters of Stars are expected to come in droves.
