A woman (37) who was kidnapped more than a month ago was returned unharmed to her family yesterday.
This was confirmed by Hawks spokesperson, Warrant Officer Ndiphiwe Mhlakuvana.
Netwerk24 reported that the Gqeberha woman, Ebenese (Ebbie) Williams, was kidnapped on 3 July outside her boyfriend’s home in Cleary Estate, Gqeberha.
The Hawks did not reveal any details about her safe return to her family or whether any arrests were made.
Warrant Officer Mhlakuvana said, “The investigation task team remains hard at work, following all possible leads. We urge anyone with information that could assist in accelerating the investigation to come forward. All information provided will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.”
